The J-10 Formula

So...

After 4 years of endless thinking and planning, I am finally starting my YouTube channel again. And as I have been really working hard to prove my discovery on thought (thought is energy is mass), I will continue with this important message using myself, my own future, and my most personal information as an example of how our thoughts are the ultimate factor to changing the energies and mass that constantly surround us. In fact, if you read my prior blogs, you already know of the masses I built to this day, including the hard work and tenacity it took for me to get here (you may also note some of the similarities I discussed earlier to today's post).

So, moving forward, my YouTube channel will document all the changes I will strive to work towards building upon the masses I have. However, to keep things focused and to help others follow a similar path towards success, I will use and share another formula that I learned a few years ago from a book I read called The Magic of Time, written by Sunhye Jung and Youngwoo Suh. In this book, there is a character by the name of "J". He is a real person and is a very important mentor to the main character of the story. The two meet one day and J discusses with her about something he found very interesting while watching the movie Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray.

I watched the movie many times and actually found the story to be very creative. In it, the cynical character Bill Murray plays ends up in a small town called Punxsutawney, where he has to do a news report of the town's annual Groundhog Day celebration. And while he's there, he ends up being stuck in a mysterious time loop. No matter what he does, he can never leave and always ends up repeating and reliving the same day, February 2nd. He can go out and do anything he wants. He can go rob a bank. He can successfully use that money he stole anywhere, as he wishes. He can dangerously race a car down a small road and get arrested by the police. He is literally free to do whatever he wants with absolutely no consequences. But always, the very next morning, he will wake up at 6am at the same bed, with the same alarm sound, and relive everything all over again in that same small, boring town, Punxsutawney.

This funny story about being stuck in a time loop is what attracted J. He argues that if we look at how many of us live today, we live exactly like the main character of Groundhog Day. In spite of how our lives may be progressing, many of us may feel that we are always stuck doing the same grind, dealing with the same problems, dealing with the same idiot people, etc. etc. everyday--feeling trapped and unable to escape the same ole same ole routine like in the movie Groundhog Day. As a matter of fact, before reading The Magic of Time I was able to relate with this feeling of being stuck in a time loop. Though I was working really hard to make my personal training business grow, after years and years of trying, I didn't see my business going anywhere. I too would wake up every morning wondering if all I'm doing is "worth it." Despite any new excitement or pleasures I had at the time, I would wake up again to the same 6am time, getting ready for the same work, and dealing with the same agendas that seemed to be going nowhere.

So this is when the J-10 Formula can work for all of us. And this formula will be the focus of my YouTube channel for the next coming years. To explain, J tells us that in order for us to escape this feeling of being stuck in a time loop, we should first ask ourselves where we imagine our lives to be in the next 10 years. Whatever dreams or goals we have, we should imagine it exactly 10 years from today, as we all know that aspirations and dreams should not be something that can be easily achieved. So if we have our 10 year goal set in our minds, that will give us all a sense of purpose in life, something we can works towards daily. Next, write down 10 significant events that happen in our lives and strategize upon them so that they can help us work towards the future we are trying to build.

Using me as an example, I will write down my aspirations 10 years from today and list 10 current significant events happening now that I can pay my attention to in order to build the future I desire.

My 10 Year Goal:

Establish a full-scale gym and/or live abroad

Ten Current Events in My Life

Work Related:

  1. Personal Training and My Clients

  2. Business Marketing: Zoek

  3. YouTube

    Finance:

  4. Stock Investment

  5. Credit Card and Student Loan Debt

    Personal Well-Being:

  6. Working out

  7. Acupuncture

  8. Single Life/Gratitude

    Recreation:

  9. PSVR2

  10. Learning Korean

If you read my prior blogs, you will see that I did a very similar exercise to compare my life today from what it was 10 years ago. However, I now list 10 events that I plan to share on YouTube and see how they will unfold to help build the future I seek.

As for you, where do you see yourself in 10 years? Are you willing to write that down?:

In 10 years: ______________________________________________________

And as for you today, can you list 10 significant events in your life that can either promote or hinder that goal:

10.

Ultimately, none of us should ever have the excuse that things are impossible for our future. None of us should feel the daily grind of having to live a very mundane life. The moment we set goals, and the moment we chase those goals, we can separate ourselves from the rest of society who live a life like Groundhog Day.

Please watch my upcoming YouTube videos and see how I will share the 10 events in my life. Also, 10 years is a long road ahead, but I plan to keep posting YT videos at least on a weekly basis so that everyone can watch what I am literally doing to achieve my 10 year plan. I will also write and review important highlights of my videos here on my blog.

As of now, I'm 47 years old. So I too am curious. I'm curious to see what I will be documenting by the time I turn 57.
